Our Teacher Resource Programs
Our Year 3, 5, 7 and 9 teacher resources have been developed to make the implementation of the Consumer and Financial Literacy Framework as easy as possible for schools. They aim to save teachers and schools time and money. This is because the research, curriculum linking, student activities and addressing of Framework principles has all been done.
Each year 3, 5 and 7 resource is a whole unit of work, each one covering a two year juncture.Our year 3, 5 and 7 resources: * have Suggested Learning Experiences for each principle of the National Consumer and Financial Literacy Framework * have Literacy Learning Experiences * have a Maths Investigation * have a range of reproducible Student Activities * have Activities for early finishers * have further websites listed for such examples as comparing savings accounts, budget templates, complaint forms, mobile phone plan comparisons * are self contained and sequenced Our year 9 resource * has an extensive collection of resources and reproducible activities, including 9 learning experiences, 11 worksheets and 3 extended tasks. * has Suggested Learning Experiences for each principle of the National Consumer and Financial Literacy Framework * has further websites listed for such examples as credit card and personal loan comparisons, budget templates and mobile phone plans, All resources * have been extensively piloted * are mapped to Australian State and Territory curriculum * are self contained and sequenced * come in an International version (for use outside of Australia) ”I received the resource and it is fantastic. In 2003, ASIC developed a consultation paper called Financial Literacy in Schools. In 2005, the Federal Australian Government developed the National Consumer and Financial Literacy Framework . This framework was initiated to respond to increasing personal debt and in particular to the mounting mobile phone debt that young Australians were creating, as well as an increasing credit card debt that Australians of all ages were maintaining.
